Breaking News: Nigeria Bishop Leaves UMC

Bishop John Wesley Yohanna (pictured above at podium), whose Nigeria Episcopal Area has been plagued by discord for at least three years, announced July 29 that he and his cabinet have joined the Global Methodist Church. The United Methodist Council of Bishops is preparing interim leadership for Nigeria until three new bishops for West Africa region are elected later this year.
